Gorgeous & Delicious
Ordered this a few weeks ago and it's fantastic! Beautiful to look at when not in use and the brewing process is very simple. The filter really takes all the bitterness out and makes a really smooth cup of coffee. It's a bit hard to clean without a bottle-cleaner style spongewand but that's easy to find. I live in a small apartment in NYC and didn't have enough space for an electric coffee maker -- so this is perfect!

For those who really enjoy good coffee
Designed by a chemist and pretty enough to be a museum exhibit. I have used all the methods exclaimed by coffee snobs including the French Press and a vacuum pot. This beats them all. The fact is that the water has to be boiling hot when it hits the grounds, the grounds need to be emersed and the brew needs to be seperated without the silt and bitter elements of the grounds. I'm sorry, but all the white vinegar in the world will not help your auto drip machine from scaling up and givng out. The auto drip ofter doesn't cover the grounds evenly. You can get a cheap plastic cone made by another company, but a little looking around and you'll notice that these are littering many a rummage sale. They are hard to keep clean. It is worth your while to order the chemex paper on line. It's thicker and helps make a better brew.

This is my third Chemex since, oh, the early 1980s. I've not found a way to make better coffee. Should this one break, I'll just have get another.

At last!
At last I have found The Perfect Coffee Maker. It makes a flavorful brew, with all the rich body of french press without the silt, while preserving the complexity of a dark-roast. And the machine didn't cost me crazy amounts of money! This makes far better coffee than my krups/cuisinart machines ever did. And I'll never have to descale it or poke it, and if the electric goes out, I can still have my joe.

There is a learning curve with this. It's taken me a week to learn exactly how to produce the coffee I want. And it takes about ten minutes to make the coffee, between putting the water on and the bloom, then the final pour-through. So what? I had a grind-and-brew that took that long to disassemble, clean, fill and reassamble, prior to turning it on. My last machine seemed to take an extraordinary length of time to drip. If you're one of those people who stops off in the morning for coffee, buy this. You'll be able to enjoy your coffee in your pj's instead of running out of the house.

If you are a sipper, get a thermos for the coffee as it won't keep the coffee warm that long. Or heat it up by he cup in the microwave. Somehow it doesn't turn like normal drip coffee does when re-heated. And I'd get the little lid too, when you order it. The Amazon photos of this doen't do it justice either. It's far more attractive than it looks on-line. The wood-collar really is wood, and not some tacky pinkish plasticized wood. And yes, it measures 5oz "cups". So does every other coffee-maker on earth. The collar provides you with a convenient measuring guide, so it's not like you have to whip out a measuring cup to get it right. The chemex is completely low-tech. You don't get flashing lights and buttons or sleek euro-racecar styling. But perfect coffee? Chemex ftw.

This came really quick. My sister loves it. She hasn't tried it yet but has used someone else's and says it makes a great cup of coffee with cheap coffee grounds.

Perfect post-shaving moisturizer
One of the first products Ive found for the post shave ritual that doesnt sting. it actually seems to stop the stinging of little cuts.

With the no-rash shave lotion..does help reduce the ingrows/rash from shaving. Still not perfect, but 90% better than ive ever been. I simply spray over site, let dry. Dont rub it in. and Go. sometimes at night then as well..another spray on shaven skin.

Ok, but considering returning it.
I bought this adorable baby monitor for a myraid of reasons. One, I figured a 2 yr. old wouldn't know the flower is a camera and so, would leave it alone. (I was wrong...she's intrigued by the "cuteness"). Two, the camera flower has a clip and a flexible "stem", so I can attach it in her room almost anywhere. Three, I could have one camera for each of two childrens' bedroom, then one for a play area on another level of the house. But.....there are so many cons to this unit that I am thinking about whether I want to send it back. Here is my pro/con list:
Pro
1) The receiver is small enough to carry around the house. Some of the other monitors have big LCD screens (7 in) and resemble computer flatscreens. I personally wouldn't carry one of those from room to room.
2) There is a rechargable battery pack, so I can unplug it....supposedly up to 70 min of time from the battery. Haven't tested that function yet.
3) During daytime, the color is really decent and I can see my child pretty clearly.
4) I love being able to see my child. Knowing I can lay eyes on her to be sure she is ok is extremely reassuring. It's nicer than having just audio.
5)The whole unit seems pretty sturdy. It reminds me of a Blackberry.

Cons
1) Interference, interference, interference. It's the #1 reason I'm considering returning it. I have a wireless network, one 2.4 ghz cordless phone, and two 5.8 ghz cordless phones. Every phone wreakes havoc with the monitor, from ring time through talk time. The sound becomes unbearable and the screen scrolls and pops, making it too difficult to see. The only way I can use the internet while the monitor is on is if I have it connected prior to turning on the monitor. Also, if I only have one camera in use, I can stay connected to the internet fairly well. But once the second camera is plugged in, the internet usually fails altogether. I can't imagine what will happen when I plug in the third. I worked for 4 hours with Netgear and HP to try trouble shooting, but nothing has helped. Changing channels on the router is not a surefire fix, but it might make things a bit better.
2) Can't figure out how to change channels on the back of the flower camera.
3) I used to have an audio monitor only. It came with two receivers, so I could keep one on the basement level and main level of my home. But this video monitor has only one receiver, so I have to carry it with me from level to level. Since it only has 70 min of battery time, I usually have to carry the cord with me to every level to plug it in. That means I have to take the whole thing downstairs in the morning so it's on the main level at nap time, carry it between the main and basement levels during naptime, then take it back upstairs for overnight. What a pain!
4) I personally think the 2.5" screen is small. Plus, it's hard to see my child in the dark with the infrared light. I have to really, really, really study the screen to see her. Even then, I'm not sure if I really see her head or if that's a pillow! I have to wait for her to move to tell the difference.
5) The nightlight function reminds me of a UFO. It's a circle of LED lights that are not at all soothing. They glare in my daughter's eyes and she seems to be a little afraid of them. I will opt for an alternative light for night time. However, I do think the added light makes the night vision better.
6) The viewing angle is rather limited. In my setup, visualize a square room. The camera is in one corner of the room, clipped to a sturdy mirror frame. It is pointed at the bed, in the corner directly across from it. The whole bed can be seen, but the other half of the room can't be. So, in essence, it gets half of the room only.
7) In order for me to see my child really close up (just her in her bed; no other part of the room), the camera has to practically be hanging down from overtop of her.
8) The receiver is supposed to be able to stand up on a lever that flips out at the bottom in the back. But, it's wobbly and always falls over.
9) The brightness of the receiver screen lights up my whole bedroom at night, making it hard for me to sleep. I love total darkness. So, I end up turning it off anyway, rendering the entire concept of viewing my child pointless.

Some of these cons might seem nitpicky, but they might matter to you if you are considering purchase, so I included them anyway. Overall, I think most of the video monitors are similar in function. If you have a wireless network, I would really recommend you try a 900 hz system before a 2.4. It's just not worth the headache for the money.

Great for paring and sculpting the thickest of calluses in relatively little time. If you suffer from build-up, it's worth every penny. Yes, it works with a razor, and caution needs to be exercised, but it's rigged to be pretty safe. Don't overdo it, and this little gadget may be your new best friend.

I love this Moka Machine!
Take your time and read the entire manual before you use this Moka Machine and you will make great Moka!
Some tips to remember,
1. Make 2 or 3 separate brews and discard them. (Allow to cool, 1+ hours)
2. Make sure you tighten by holding the chrome base and NOT the plastic
pitcher.
3. Use expresso cups (2 oz.) as this Moka Machine only makes 8 oz.
4. Completely rinse and clean before each use!

I love this machine, but the plastic carafe cracks
I love this machine, it makes great espresso and is easy to handle. The only problem is that I have experienced the same problem many others have experienced...the plastic carafe cracks from the heat and eventually falls apart. The replacement carafe is and that bugs me to have to pay for a defective part like this.

Best Expresso maker
I have had stove top coffee makers like this one but this electric version is over the top. The coffee tasted great. No more worries about burning the coffee. No more worries about the coffee spilling over because you weren't watching it. It is also more compact than other espresso coffee makers and keeps it warm awhile too. I bought one for a good friend of mine for her office. With an office full of Hispanic women you can only imagine how popular she was. I would recommended this product to others.

So far, so good.
We've been using this for about a month now and it is producing better coffee than any other espresso machine we've had to date (Melitta, Krups). We've read reviews that talked about leaks and cracks, but nothing has happened yet.

Better than machines 10 times more expensive.
I am a coffee snob with every piece of brewing and grinding equipment a consumer can have. Seriously. There isn't a brewing method I don't have the machine for. I've used Moka espresso makers before and loved them, but didn't like that they required supervision on the stovetop. If the flame is too hot or too cool it doesn't come out right. The electricity-based Alicia takes out all the guesswork and tweaking.

I used to split time evenly between a Stainless Steel French Press, a Saeco Espresso machine, and a Cuisinart drip coffee maker. It all depended on what I felt like that day. That was before my Alicia was gifted to me. I've had it now for five months and I have not used any other machine since.

It is the Goldilocks of brewing methods. If I want espresso I use a finer grind and less water. If I want something akin to a drip coffee I use course grinds and top off with hot water. If I want a milk-based drink it's good for au laits and lattes if you adjust the grind right- you have to fire up a stovetop of espresso machine for the milk of course -it even makes a wonderful hybrid somewhere between espresso and coffee that only it can produce (a dark strong coffee, but with crema...tears to my eyes). Instant iced coffee. Mild Roasts, Medium Roasts, dark or extra dark. ALL delicious. It is just about idiot proof. I can't remember making a bad cup of coffee with this thing.

I cannot say enough good about it- compact, easy as hell to clean, economical (use less beans, don't need filters), quick, everything you could want in a home brewing machine. In short, if you love coffee: GET ONE.

Now all Delonghi needs to do is make one four times as big for when I have company over.
