    Junk
This is junk. I through mine in the trash . I should have trusted what other people were saying about this product. I have owned many many Black and Decker products over the years. I am done with Black and Decker!!!!

Worst coffe pot I have ever owned! WAY overprices for quality!
This is the second one we have had. For a coffee maker I expect it to work with EXTREME ease. I would rather have the one from the dollar store. It never turns on like it is supposed to, you have to mess with every thing to get it to turn on and then you have to make sure that the coffe pot or the tray doesn't pop out and spill coffee EVERYWHERE! DO NOT BUY THIS COFFEE MAKER. Like I said this is our second one, we returned the first one to Black N Decker for the same reasons listed above and I am done with this coffe maker!

major disappointment...not anything like its predecessor.
This item was purchased to replace/supplement our last Black and Decker ODC Spacemaker Coffeemaker. We used it for several years and were very pleased with it. The only reason we were replacing it is because a plastic clip broke on the water holder and, with a wedding a few days away, we could not wait for a replacement part to arrive.

What did arrive was a major disappointment. The machine is now an 8 cup design instead of a 10 cup. The water holder did not work with our old machine as it had been slightly reshaped. Now,the water trough, still with a 10 cup capacity, has a small hole was placed in the back of the container so that you cannot overfill it. You can, however, pour water all over everything as you transport the trough from the sink to the coffeemaker. The receptacle for the pot was scaled down to accept the 8 cup carafe, so our original carafe, with a wonderful wide mouth large enough to fit your hand in to clean and its pause and serve feature on the handle, is useless. Somehow in the re-engineering of the design another "wonderful" feature occured... When you place the carafe in the receptacle, the coffee grounds tray above, is pushed out ever so slightly so that now the machine assumes you are in continual "pause and serve", un-be-knownst to you, of course, resulting in coffee flow all over the counter and beyond. To counteract this design flaw, we find ourselves taping the tray in place with the thoughtfully provided strapping tape. And I thought the tape was just there for shipping and handling!

What I can't figure out is why Black and Decker would take a thoughtful and well engineered design, and replace it with something that has so many obvious, critical flaws it should never have hit the market. Why rework something that doesn't need reworking?

    Good design - bad design
I like the unit for it's compact design and thermal caraf. But the reports of poor design and overflow are true! At first it seemed fine and I had no problems. Then after about a week the basket popped out slightly in mid cycle, closing the drip valve and I had a mess on my hands. I found that the spring that holds the valve closed is indeed too strong and when you put the pot in instead of overcoming the spring tension and opening the valve for brewing, it just pops the basket out and the valve closes - big mess! The basket needs some sort of heavy detent or snap to hold it in place so this does not happen. I have found that if you place the caraf at the front edge of the "well" it sits in, the problem is less likely to occur as there is less tension put on the spring. I brew coffee every day and for the past 3 weeks and it has overflowed twice. So it's not every day and if I'm careful about where I place the caraf and make sure the basket is in all the way, it works. But I still don't like to walk away and leave it unattended and will echo others to say it is poorly designed.

    Gotcha!
I agree with some of the other reviewers, the "sneak a sip" feature is just plain broken. The spring has too much resistance and placing the thermos into its place pops out the coffee filter tray. Also even if you notice and push the coffee filter tray back into position, it pops out again during brew. My solution (borrowed from another reviewer) was to remove the plastic "sneak a sip" piece (the one with the spring) and now we brew in confidence (just don't remove the thermos until it is totally done :).

Because of this I think this product is broken and doesn't work as shipped.

Not all hair removed, doesn't last
The product does remove hair and it doesn't hurt. I liked it a lot better than shaving because I never felt that prickly feeling. However it certainly doesn't give you that totally clean feel that waxing/shaving does. No matter how much I used it, I always had a bunch of longer hairs. Also, I had difficulty getting into the recesses of my under arms. Mine lasted about 1 1/2 years. I used it about 2-3 times a week.

    not great
I bought an Emjoi about 10 years ago and loved it. It lasted until just a couple years ago. I got the OptiMini Epilator to replace it and was very disappointed. I don't think the dual opposing heads are a good addition - they make it very difficult to target certain areas. Also, the middle is recessed too much so on many parts of the body the middle tweezers don't reach your hair. I am returning this and trying a different model.

    great!
This product is just great! It gets the job done! And it is so small and portable. I would definitely recommend this product.

    Emjoi OptiMini Epilator
I have used another Emjoi epilator for a few years but got tired of buying batteries. This Emjoi is very gentle and removes the hair quickly without any pulling. My legs feel as smooth as if I'd used a razor. Hair grows back so fine that it isn't very noticeable. It's compact and comes with a storage pouch which is nice for travel and it has a long cord. I highly recommend this item.

Durabilty is it's biggest down fall
I've owned epilators since they were first introduced to the market. I've owned 3 of the Emjoi Optima's, (5 Emjoi's total) With all 3 Optima models, the rotating heads quit working. The 1 year warranty does not cover the cost of shipping the unit back to the vendor. In April, Customer Service required me to return the entire unit. They returned it with the original body and I suppose a new head. But the head has quit again, but I am out of warranty, and out of luck. Emjoi does not sell replacement parts. The motors also last about 1.5 years before dying. But I refuse to return to shaving.

    Cuisinart DCC-2200 review
This is a very good product, blends well with the other Cuisinart products in our kitchen, is easy to program and use.

    Cuisinart DCC-2200
The peer reviews on the Cuisinart left me hesitant in buying one. There is overall agreement on the results (good coffee), but the journey there appears to be a rough one. I've had the DCC-2200 for three weeks now.

I can't find fault in the build of this coffee maker. Despite the stainless steel exterior, it is mostly plastic, but everything fits together reassuringly tightly. I think the looks are rather good - a first from a line of coffee makers that honestly look rather clunky before.

The layout for the coffee filter and the water is fine. Comments about tight access to the water reservoir are largely exaggerated. I pour lefty and have no problem. The plastic is molded such that spilt water runs into the reservoir. The filter is in the front, giving easy access to add the coffee.

I have one complaint about the setup: I hate interior water level marks. Where as some coffee makers have a transparent tube or window running up the reservoir so you can see how much water is in there, the 2200 requires you look down into the reservoir. It's an awkward arrangement on a unit that otherwise is ergonomically well thought out.

You get a timer for scheduled brewing, a self cleaning cycle, a 4 cup brewing mode, and control over how long the heating plate stays on. Brewing cycles are longish, but near silent -- so silent, in fact, that a small beep is used to announce the end of the brewing cycle. Yes, the clock is small - it's to schedule brewing, not be the main clock in the kitchen. One very nice thing about it - the clock briefly retains settings if the unit is unplugged. Very good!

Previously, I had complained about thinnish tasting coffee. A few friends dissed my choice of beans, so I switched to 2 different other beans, and yep, the full rich flavor is back. Ironically, both brands of beans are actually roasted by the same local company, but the difference in flavor is dramatic. All is forgiven, I'm very happy with the results now.

The Cusinart DCC-2200 is a well built coffee maker. I wondered if it was going to be worth the premium over more basic European brands. I think it is - this unit feels very solid, and more importantly, the coffee comes out great. Recommended.

Works great except for the fire thing
I've had this machine for a few years and it worked great until today. It caught fire and did not trip the circuit breaker. Thank goodness my wife was home at the time. I would buy the same one to replace it....OR NOT.

    0 for a 18-mo. Coffee Maker
The 14c. maker attracted us because of how much coffee we drink and how much we entertain. It was a bit pricy at 0.00 compared to our usual -60 coffemakers, but we thought that also meant it would last better than the average 2-3 years we get from the lesser priced units. Well, we got about 1-1/2 years out of this coffee maker. We're absolutely disgusted, and have sent a comment to Cuisinart and received absolutely no reply what-so-ever. We'll be getting the new Kitchenaid 14 c. coffeemaker, and hopefully that is a better made machine.

    terrible customer service
First, this is an excellent coffee maker, best we've ever had. Makes super hot great tasting coffee every time and keeps it hot for as long as you want. We've had the machine for just over a year and the filter basket broke where there's a spring that allows you to take out the pot during brewing (a feature we never use). I tried to order a replacement, but they don't offer it from Cuisinart and when I tried to contact them I get absolutely no response. As much as I like the machine, I will never purchase from Cuisinart again.

best price, exact fit for my panasonic shaver
I have had no problems using this replacement foil, excellent price too.

Just Like the original, just a fraction of the cost for a new razor
This item is almost unavailable in stores so Amazon is the only resource for it. I've ordered two since I've owned my razor and have been happy with them both. They are delicate though so I suggest using the plastic cover that accompanies the razor, especially for traveling. If your razor still holds power than I definitely suggest this replacement foil, It makes sense financially and you can have the shipping expedited.

    Pass on this one...
The opening to the water resevoir is beyond small. A fair amount of water always leaks out when trying to fill it. Mine also had a funny smell to it for a week or two. Also, the pot leaks when you poor coffee into a mug.

    DON'T BREAK A CARAFE
As i was unpacking the unit I pulled a carton on a front and carafe apparently was attached to it... so it fell on the floor and was gone. Ok, maybe poor packaging, maybe my fault. So i called customer service to order a replacement. they told me the replacement is NO LONGER AVAILABLE, carafe is not universal and my only choice is to buy a new unit. great!

    Dr.G.Ma
I found this coffee maker to be worth the money. I drink a lot of coffee and have been through more hi priced one's than you can imagine.
This has give me the best coffee. I recommend it to any one.

FARBERWARE 12 CUP DRIP COFFEE MAKER
I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED TO RECIEVE THE DRIP COFFEE MAKER. I MUST HAVE ORDERED THAT IN ERROR. I REALLY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO RETURN IT SO I DID USE IT A FEW TIMES. I HAVE VERY HARD WATER AND DRIP COFFEE MAKERS LAST A VERY SHORT TIME. THE COFFEE LOOKS LIKE THERE IS OIL FLOATING ONTOP OF IT. NOT VERY APPETIZING. THE STAINLESS STEEL SIDES ARE DIFFICULT TO KEEP SHINY. I HAVE SINCE PURCHASED THE FARBERWARE 12 CUP PERCULATOR WHICH WORKS VERY WELL FOR ME. I WAS REPLACING ONE THAT "DIED". I APPRECIATE ASKING MY OPINION.

    Great Buy!
This coffee pot is a wonderful buy.It did get some bad reviews for a couple of minor things over all I rate it a 5 because for the price YOU CANT COMPLAIN!
